Chanel A/W10….A Giant Iceberg and Rose Jade Polish
So my biggest excitement so far of this season in Paris was getting an actual invite to the Chanel show at the Grand Palais, with the intention of blogging about the new polish to be debuted on the catwalk…So I went backstage to interview the french manicurists, have a bit of a nose about, check out the new collection and generally have a FABULOUS time. It turns out the polish we were all waiting for info on was a reincarnation of Jade Rose, a summery sheer rosy pink. As Illustrated by the girls below.
With very special thanks to Sam McKinght (hairstylist supremo) and his amazing team…

Paris Fashion Week……A/W10 Roland Mouret
Roland Mouret has been one of my favourite British designers for a long time, so it was an absoloute pleasure to work on his show. Especially as Val Garland was responsible for the make up and Alain Pichon the hair…I enjoy working with both of them.
The Mouret woman is tres chic…not flashy but immaculate – the twist on today’s look was the extra hair clippings added to the eyebrows to make them seem bushier, with her hair in a slicked back, bouncy pony tail. So it seemed only appropriate to give the models proper manicures with their nails buffed to a glossy finish.
The beautiful 16 yr old Jac who I worked with on this French Vogue shoot with David Sims.

1st girl out in an amazingly upmarket hoody….Natasha Poly

1st Paris Show….it’s GILES
The amazingly stunning Maryna Linchuk was just one of the SUPER selection of models at the S/S10 Giles show in Paris yesterday. The casting was unique and brilliant with some of the Victorias Secret and the hottest girls in the game in attendance…Karolina K (just back on the runway 4 months after having a baby boy), Natasha Poly, Miu Miu star Lindsey Wixson, Allessandra Abrosio, Carmen Kass, Coco Rocha, Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley, Jesia Chiminazzo, Caroline Trentini, Jessica Stam, Angela Lindvall, Magdalena F, etc etc
The look was sort of late 50’s/60’s bouffed and manicured Hitchcock movie heroine…inspired by the images below.
She is groomed to the nines, but some how a bit messed up at the same time and her nails are slightly long, lady like oval shaped, glossy orangey red. We used “Summer Passion” by my official sponsor Kinetics..Illustrated here perfectly on Barbara Pelvin

The above picture is of my current fave footwear that I pretty much wear everyday. Someone asked me t’other day if they were comfortable and I answered YES…meaning I can wear them from 5 or 6 in the morning, run about stations, airports, backstage areas of shows and the cobbled streets of Paris until 4 the next morning, get back to my room and I still dont want to kill myself. Thats comfortable! They are Sergio Rossi for Puma btw and worth every penny.
Grazia Mag The Nail of the season…..

And how it appeared in the mag……

Smoky Grey Nails at Marios Schwabb

The theme for this show (hair and make up wise) was very much 90’s minimilism with pared down sheeny make up and a slicked back hair with a simple fishtail plait. To complement me and my team custom blended a unique shade of smoky grey.
ROKSANDA ILLINCIC
Our 4th show on Day 3 was a very LOVEly 70’s affair, with lots of fur (again), billowing satin gowns and a Pat Cleveland vibe and Native New Yorker by Odyssey the opening track on the soundtrack, with the hair and make up created by James Pecis and Lucia Pica. The nails were of course a 70’s tan colour….
